Update 1 Patch Notes — Five New Units (September 2026)

FAQ

When did Command An Army Update 1 release?
Update 1 went live on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The developer group Fight, Fight, Fight! announced it through the official Roblox event "UPDATE 1 ⚔️", which ran from September 12 to September 19, 2026. The game's Roblox title carried the [⚔️NEW UNITS] tag for the update.
What units did Update 1 add?
Five units: Spear Militia (2★, evolves into Spear Vanguard 3★), Halberder (2★, evolves into Imperial Halberder 3★), Javelineer (2★, evolves into Elite Javelineer 3★), Flaming Archers (3★), and Mace (3★). All five names and star ratings come from the developer's own update announcement.
Were there codes for Update 1?
A wave of new Gem codes shipped in the same window, each announced first-party by the developer in the official Discord: SORRY (1,000 Gems, September 11), OPTIMIZE (700, September 10), SHIELDBREAKER (700, September 12, inside the Update 1 announcement itself), and CONQUER (500, September 11). The full tested list lives on our codes page.
Did Update 1 change any existing units?
The announcement itself listed no changes, but the official Discord patch notes do. A balance patch on September 13, 2026 — the day after Update 1 — lessened the range of Archer, Longbowman, Crossbow, and Flaming Archers, increased Spearman/Pikeman speed, and reworked the Javelineer's projectile and shield interactions. The full official patch history is documented on this page.
What is coming after Update 1?
UPDATE 2 — "Guilds and more!" — went live on Saturday, September 19, 2026: the Guild System and a nine-rank Ranked ladder shipped as promised, plus two new units (Rapier, Rapier Knight) with the Parry trait — arrivals the September 12–14 roadmap never teased. Its earnings cuts were reverted in full the same day. The roadmap items that did not ship stay announced-only: the free Mongol battle pass, stat points, and the Laestrygonians poll — closed September 21 at 85% Yes, short of the owner's stated 95% bar. On September 20 the owner previewed the next update (new map, Mongol units, a Pikeman evolution, private servers) and promised a 2× XP boost every weekend. Next, UPDATE 3 ("New Content Drop!") is scheduled for September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM (Roblox event calendar, re-verified September 21).

Command An Army launched September 5, 2026. One week later the developer shipped the game’s first major content update — Update 1, announced by the official Roblox event “UPDATE 1 ⚔️” with the subtitle “New Units!”. This page is the permanent record of what shipped: the official announcement, verified facts first, and a running “being verified” list for everything the announcement did not spell out. Future updates will be tracked here the same way, dated, the moment they are confirmed.

When did Update 1 go live?

Saturday, September 12, 2026. The official event ran from September 12, 03:00 UTC through September 19, 04:00 UTC, hosted by the developer group Fight, Fight, Fight! — the same group behind the game itself. The game’s Roblox listing carried the [⚔️NEW UNITS] title tag for the occasion, and over 19,000 players joined the event within its first two days. The event page was created September 1 and last updated September 12 — the announcement text below is quoted from it verbatim.

What are the five new units?

The announcement’s unit list — names and star ratings exactly as published; the Flaming Archers evolution cell is our annotation from the official info channel (stars are the game’s rarity ratings):

Unit Rarity Evolution Class family
Spear Militia 2★ Spear Militia → Spear Vanguard (3★) Spears
Halberder 2★ Halberder → Imperial Halberder (3★) Spears (polearm)
Javelineer 2★ Javelineer → Elite Javelineer (3★) Ranged
Flaming Archers 3★ Longbowman → Flaming Archers Ranged
Mace 3★ Melee frontline

Three things stand out against the launch roster. First, four of the five sit on documented evolution paths — three arrive as base units that evolve (Spear Militia, Halberder, Javelineer), and Flaming Archers is itself the evolution of the launch Longbowman, confirmed word-for-word in the official info channel (“Flaming Archers → Evo of longbow”). Second, two of the five are 3★ at base, matching the strongest launch rarities on day one. Third, the update leans hard into the spear-and-polearm fantasy — a direct answer to cavalry-heavy launch metas, on paper. What the units actually do in matches is being verified now; the per-unit breakdown with first-read analysis lives on the Update 1 units page.

How do the new units fit the six classes?

By name and announced family: Spear Militia and Halberder extend the Spears class — the anti-charge discipline line; Javelineer and Flaming Archers join Ranged — the class that breaks pushes and unsets defenses; Mace joins the melee frontline next to the shield lines. The six-class framework from the unit type overview still holds — Update 1 deepens existing roles rather than adding a seventh class. Where exactly each unit sits within its class (and whether Flaming Archers replace or complement the Archer → Longbowman line) is match-verification work in progress.

Which codes shipped around Update 1?

The update window brought a matching code wave — and every code below is now confirmed first-party, announced by the game’s owner in the official Discord with its own patch post:

  • SORRY — 1,000 Gems (September 11, with the lag-fix “very last reset”)
  • OPTIMIZE — 700 Gems (September 10, with Potato Mode)
  • SHIELDBREAKER — 700 Gems (September 12, inside the Update 1 announcement itself)
  • CONQUER — 500 Gems (September 11)

The two launch-day codes, WAR and RELEASE (500 Gems each, September 5), were still working as of September 13–14. The other launch-window codes — BUGFIX (250, September 5), LEBALANCE (150, September 6), CONQUEST (250, September 7), and D0ggy103 (500, September 8) — each shipped with an official patch post and have since expired. The tested, dated list is the codes page; it is re-checked after every update.

What did the September 13 patch change?

The day after Update 1, the developer posted a balance patch in the official Discord’s update-log channel (September 13, edited September 14). Every change below is from that post, verbatim in substance:

  • Shield Damage Indicator added — a UI layer that finally makes blocking visible.
  • Mastery XP from troops increased — command units level faster toward the Level-20 evolution gate.
  • Burn damage now applies to players as well — Flaming Archers’ burn threatens enemy commanders, not just their troops.
  • Range lessened for archer, longbowman, crossbow, and flaming archer — the entire Archer lineage plus the crossbow must now position closer. This is also the first official mention of the Crossbow, a ranged unit that appears in no evolution path or update list; its classification is still unverified.
  • Pikeman/spearman speed increased — the spear line gets faster feet to match its anti-charge job.
  • Javelineer rework — the projectile reduction was removed, and block damage was removed with the owner’s own explanation that Javelineer base damage “will not be lessened by the shield unlike other projectiles.” In plain terms: Javelineer throws now ignore shield damage reduction — a deliberate anti-shield niche.

For a wiki that refused to rank post-update units on day one, this patch is the first real evidence wave — the tier list carries a dated watch note for the ranged placements it touches.

What is the official patch history so far?

Every line below comes from the official update-log channel, which has carried a dated patch post for every change since launch day:

Date (2026) What shipped Code that shipped with it
Sep 5 Launch-day fixes: cavalry attack damage lessened by 10%, pathfinding improved, aim/rush VFX fix BUGFIX — 250 Gems
Sep 6 Gem earnings per match ×1.5, capture 10% faster per attacking player, cannon and troop-spacing fixes LEBALANCE — 150 Gems
Sep 7 4★ summon rate 0.33% → 0.5% (1% with Luck, 1.5% with Super Luck), Ascension stat boost nerfed 10% → 5%, pointing arrows for quests and evolutions, balancing bots for uneven teams CONQUEST — 250 Gems
Sep 8 Archer bug fixed, richer info bar on troops D0ggy103 — 500 Gems
Sep 10 Potato Mode for low-end and mobile devices OPTIMIZE — 700 Gems
Sep 11 Lag-spike cause found and fixed, final reset SORRY — 1,000 Gems, CONQUER — 500 Gems
Sep 12 Update 1 — the five units on this page SHIELDBREAKER — 700 Gems
Sep 13 The balance patch documented in the previous section

Launch day itself (September 5) also carried the two still-working codes WAR and RELEASE (500 Gems each) from the release Q&A event.

What came after Update 1?

UPDATE 2 (“Guilds and more!”) went live September 19, 2026 — the Guilds-first promise kept. It shipped the Guild System and a nine-rank Ranked ladder (Warrior → Knight → Noble → Commander → General → Warlord → Conqueror → Overlord → Emperor), two new units — Rapier and Rapier Knight — with the Parry trait (Rapiers only), and Spearman/Pikeman squads raised from 24 to 28. Its earnings cuts — gem earnings −30% and troop Mastery XP −30% — were reverted in full the same day, leaving the September 6 economy intact. A balance patch on September 21 tuned the arrivals — Rapier/Rapier Knight ATK INT 1.1 → 0.9, Rapier Knight’s Parry up 20% → 30%, Spartan BlockDurability 110 → 100 — its row is logged on the patch history page.

The rest of the September 12–14 roadmap did not ship in UPDATE 2 and remains announced-only:

  • A Mongol unit arrives later, inside a future battle pass — which the team confirmed will be free, progressed through quests. (“No pay to win over here… only pay to flex” — the owner’s words.)
  • Stat points passed their poll — a system to raise player-class stats (Health/Speed/Stamina/AttackDmg) by leveling up, approved 87% on 9,969 votes, closed September 13.
  • Laestrygonians (5★ giants) have been polled — the poll ran from September 14 and closed September 21 with Yes at 85% — short of the owner’s hard 95% approval threshold (“if it doesnt get to 95% im not adding it”), so no development has been announced; the sketch: roughly 8 troops per summon, high damage, high health, and a ~5-second attack cooldown.

The announcement channel stayed warm on September 20: evolution XP was rebalanced and confirmed live the same day (1★→2★ 7,400 → 4,500 XP; 3★→4★ 7,400 → 10,500 XP; 2★→3★ unchanged), a 2× XP boost every weekend was promised, a one-update-every-two-weeks cadence was floated without a final call, and the next update was previewed as a new map, Mongol units, a Pikeman evolution, auto-delete, private servers, and a bug-fixing sweep.

Next on the calendar: UPDATE 3 (“New Content Drop!”) is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM on the game’s Roblox event calendar (re-verified September 21).

How does Update 1 change the meta?

Carefully-worded answer: nobody knows yet, and anyone publishing confident post-update tier rankings within 48 hours is guessing. What can be said: the Spears class, which launch guides treated as the disciplined counter-pick, just received two units with evolution ceilings — which changes the army building math for the Spears-plus-shields composition. The tier list grades every unit where evidence exists and marks the Update 1 arrivals as “watching” rather than inventing placements — the methodology explains why that discipline is the point.

What is being verified next?

Three questions this page opened with are now closed by official sources (September 14):

  • Promotion conditions — a unit must reach Mastery Level 20 (the cap) before it can evolve, per the official info channel. Units earn Mastery XP from battles — dealing damage, defeating enemies, and being meaningfully deployed — and the September 13 patch increased troop Mastery XP further.
  • Flaming Archers’ lineage — they are the evolution of the Longbowman (“Flaming Archers → Evo of longbow”, official info channel), not a sidegrade summon.
  • Balance changes — the September 13 patch documented above touched launch units directly.

Still open, tracked until each is confirmed in-game:

  • Gem prices for the five units — announced nowhere; readable only in the in-game summoning pool.
  • Full base stat cards — two official sneak-peek cards give a Javelineer (2★, Level 1) and an Imperial Halberder (3★, Level 8) snapshot; the rest are still unrecorded (see the units page).
  • The Crossbow — named in the September 13 patch notes but absent from every evolution path and unit list; class and acquisition unknown.

When a fact above is confirmed, it moves into the body of this page — or the per-unit page — with a date. Nothing ships unverified.

Where do future updates land?

Here. Every official update gets a page under this updates section with the same shape: what shipped, what it changes, what is still being verified — plus the codes page refresh that follows each patch. The official sources are the developer’s Roblox event listings and the announcement channels of the official Discord; this page cites them every time.
